My first official Christmas post. So many activities to do, so little time to blog. But that’s ok, I’d rather enjoy the activities this time of year! In the midst of all of that was going on, we were able to get out the door and accomplish our annual family baking day! I believe if I counted right there was about 20 of us, 13 of which were little finger lickers under the age of 9! The 7 of us mixed, dipped and drizzled in the midst of all the screams and laughter and had a wonderful time….
JoAnna and Shanah made Sweet and Salty Snowmen out of long pretzel rods with the finger lickers… So much fun for them too!
There’s just alittle construction going on at Grandpa and Grandma’s. The boys for sure do not like it!
This is the new staircase being built in the middle of the house where the little office upstairs was.

Cody and Sam wearing Grandma’s new army men clothes and helmets, there’s also a Super Mario and Louigie outfit complete with mustaches, so funny!
Ok, ok, back to the goodies! I made Cherry Tassies and Oreo truffles from last year. And 2 new recipes-Pistachio-Cranberry Bark and Chocolate Mint Thumbprints. Other goodies made: Cream Wafers, Katie’s awesome Peanut Butter Cookie Cups, Mocha Truffle Cookies- if you like a coffee flavor these are good, JoAnna made us all an Oreo Cream Cheese ball to throw in our freezer for later and all the regulars like fudge….Oh I’m getting hungry! Where’s my gum?!?
A few of my new favs… brownie dough with a reeses in the middle, Lois made, (upper left) and Triple Chocolate Peppermint treats, made by JoAnna.

your blog made me want to bake today. so i made chocolate chip cookies. not exactly seasonally appropriate, but fixed my craving nonetheless! love you!
JoAnna says....where is she...feeding her baby? cleaning up her messes??? Or maybe she said you were bitter about your "missing cheese ball"...
